Meizu Note 21 and Note 21 Pro go international
Earlier this year, Meizu announced that it would go all-in on AI, which would change its smartphone ambitions. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has announced its latest smartphones, the Meizu Note 21 and Note 21 Pro. This time, both phones are available internationally and are joined by the Meizu 21, which was announced in China earlier this year.
The Meizu Note 21 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an 8MP front camera. The Note 21 Pro features a slightly larger 6.78-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 13MP selfie shooter.
On the back, the Note 21 has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth of field sensor. The Note 21 Pro has a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor instead.
The Meizu Note 21 is powered by an unspecified eight-core chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Note 20 Pro has a Helio G99 chipset and the same RAM and storage. Both phones support storage expansion via their microSD card slot.
Meizu doesn’t mention AI features
Despite Meizu’s focus on AI, the official specs page doesn’t mention any specific AI features for either of the new phones. We don’t get any details on the software either, but we assume both will come with Meizu’s FlymeOS.
The Meizu Note 21 tops the battery capacity range with its 6,000mAh cell and 18W charging. The Note 21 Pro has a smaller 4,950mAh battery and 30W charging.
The Meizu Note 21 is available in Gulf Blue, Diamond Black and Ivory, the Pro model in Bay Blue, Sandstone and Marble. Meizu has not yet announced pricing and availability details, but these are expected to follow soon. The market launch is in selected markets in the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, the Middle East and the CIS regions.
