Xiaomi's first Poco tablet is here, designed for both entertainment and productivity - the Xiaomi Poco Pad.
Xiaomi Poco Pad

Xiaomi just unveiled the Poco F6 and the Poco F6 Pro, but the brand had another surprise in store. The brand’s first tablet with the obvious name Xiaomi Poco Pad is here and shows strong similarities with the Redmi Pad Pro. It features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution and 68 billion colors thanks to 12-bit color depth. The peak brightness is 600 nits, and DC dimming is also on board.

According to Xiaomi, the Poco Pad is optimized for both entertainment and work and therefore has a 16:10 aspect ratio. There are four speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the display also supports Dolby Vision for higher image quality when streaming video. Thanks to the 10,000 mAh battery, the Xiaomi tablet should last 16 hours. Charging is 33 watts and Poco claims that 15 minutes of charging is enough for 26 hours of music playback.

The Xiaomi Poco Pad has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset at its heart, just like the Poco X6. There are also 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, although the tablet can also be used with microSD cards with a capacity of up to 1.5 TB. Since it is a Xiaomi product, it runs the in-house Android interface HyperOS. This offers some cool functions, especially when combined with a paired HyperOS smartphone.

For example, you can mirror the display of your smartphone on the tablet and use drag-and-drop for texts, files and images. You can also use the shared clipboard for this. Another nice thing is that you can pair the tablet with a quick tap.

The Xiaomi Poco Pad features a slim metal body that is 7.52 mm thick and weighs 571 g. It is available in gray and blue. Xiaomi also offers a customized pad case for additional protection. In addition, the Poco Pad keyboard and the Poco Smart Pen are ideal for taking notes and sketching.

Xiaomi Poco Pad prices

The Poco Pad is available now for the early bird price of $300. There is a version with 8/256 GB. After the introductory promotion ends, the pad will be sold at its regular price of $330. And if you want to purchase any of the accessories, the keyboard is $80, the pen is $60, and the base case is just $20.
