Honor brings DeepSeek integration into its YOYO assistant
AI is one of the most exciting topics in tech right now. Everyone has their own AI assistant on their device and they are getting smarter and smarter. Newcomer DeepSeek seems to be at the forefront right now and is the first choice for some smartphone manufacturers. Especially the Chinese ones, of course, since the AI service comes from China.
First Huawei announced that it would integrate DeepSeek into its cloud services, and now Honor has announced that the AI will be integrated directly into the intelligent assistant YOYO in China. The Oppo Find N5, another Chinese manufacturer, will also have integration.
From now on, Honor smartphones with MagicOS 8.0 and higher can update their YOYO assistant to use the advanced DeepSeek R1 model. It also requires YOYO version 80.0.1.503 or higher. Then you wake up your smartphone and then swipe up from the bottom of your smartphone to get to the “AI Agent” menu item, where you can select the R1 version.
According to Honor, the DeepSeek R1 model has several effects on the capabilities of its assistant YOYO: It can therefore grasp more complex facts, start intelligent interactions and offer personalized services.
