WhatsApp Android app gets a new design
WhatsApp is currently revamping its Android app, according to a new report. The focus of the redesign is currently on the navigation bar, which is receiving a new design and a new menu item.
The image above shows a look at the current state – this is definitely not the final version of the redesign, as the Meta AI button appears in two different places.

These images, however, seem to show that Meta AI will be integrated into the navigation bar in the future, and no longer just displayed as a floating button above the “Compose” button. Furthermore, the navigation bar will be more oval and transparent – almost resembling the iOS version (though not completely transparent).
There will also be a dark mode version. This early version of the new design was discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.26.38.10), which is now available to beta program participants. Development may take several more weeks before the new design is released to the public.
