Telegram announces native app for Apple Watch
Telegram has released a completely new, native app for the Apple Watch. This release comes years after the messaging platform discontinued its original watchOS app, thus bringing dedicated smartwatch support back to the platform.
In an X-Post, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced the return of the messaging client to the Apple Watch.
The new Telegram app for Apple Watch offers support for text and voice messages. Users can also share GIFs, watch videos, share their location, and use stickers. The app also provides access to all conversations and contacts.
After installing the app on an Apple Watch, users must scan a QR code with the app on their iPhone to sync contacts and messages. The new watchOS app is now available for download in the App Store.
