Telegram redesign announced for Android and iOS

Telegram has announced a completely redesigned user interface for its Android app, aiming to make navigation and search faster and more intuitive. The most noticeable change in this redesign is the new bottom bar, which allows users to quickly switch between tabs such as “Chats,” “Settings,” “Profile,” and others.

In addition to redesigning the user interface, Telegram has completely rewritten the interface’s source code to maximize efficiency and improve responsiveness. Under “Settings” > “Power Saving Mode,” you can optimize performance and extend battery life.
iOS users will also receive a redesigned media viewer, new preview windows for sticker and emoji packs, and updated context menus in user profiles and when selecting messages. For iPad, there’s a new keyboard shortcut for sending messages: ⌘+Enter.
Telegram now features automatic admin switching
If you are a group owner, Telegram will now automatically transfer your group ownership to one of the group administrators one week after you leave the chat. Group owners will also see a confirmation window when leaving the group chat, where they can select a new group owner. However, you can also transfer ownership to another group member without leaving the chat.
In addition to these updates, there is a new crafting system that allows users to combine existing collectible gifts to create unusual, rare, epic, or legendary versions with graphics and unique effects.
You can add up to four gifts via the design interface. Each additional gift increases the chances of success. Furthermore, using multiple gifts with the same properties increases the likelihood that those properties will be included in the finished item. Collector gifts can be bought and sold via Telegram’s gift marketplace.
The new update also brings something for bot developers. They can now add emojis and colors to their buttons to make the user interface more intuitive or to highlight specific actions.
If you are using Telegram on an Android device, a iPhone or a iPad, to use the new features, you must update the app in the official App Store.
