Apple today updated Apple Creator Studio and Final Cut Camera for iOS, adding new features.

Final Cut Camera

Final Cut Camera, Apple’s professional iPhone filmmaking app, now supports variable aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro. Users can adjust the aperture and choose between aperture-priority and shutter-priority auto-exposure. Cinematic effects for videos are also supported. According to Apple, the app was rebuilt from the ground up to give creators easy access to professional settings such as shutter angle, ISO, and white balance.

There are customizable overlays with false-color and clipping indicators for exposure, as well as improved focus peaking with sensitivity control. A tally light illuminates during recording, and a two-finger gesture allows you to clear the viewfinder to focus on the subject. Other new features include support for professional videoscope, a clean SDI output, and genlock offset.

Pages, Numbers and Keynote

Pages, Numbers, and Keynote offer new templates and designs, as well as improved collaboration tools. Keynote supports intelligent slide creation, and Numbers includes trigonometry, statistics, and logic functions for solving complex problems in spreadsheets. Pages for Mac offers a screen view optimized for reading and writing.

Pixelmator Pro

Pixelmator Pro for iPad offers new template collections for Mac and iPad to optimally showcase ideas, businesses, or products. There’s a podcast category with various cover artworks. The iPad app also inherits the “Select” and “Mask” functions of the Mac app for precise masking and selection.

Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac offer a new option to add Cinematic Mode effects to videos shot with the iPhone 18 Pro. Users can adjust focus points and depth of field directly in the Final Cut Pro timeline. Compressor supports converting videos with Cinematic Mode effects back to the original Cinematic Mode format and offers new export presets for HEVC and MPEG-4.

Freeform offers automatic support for Dark Mode on boards, folders for better organization, and writing tools. With these writing tools, Apple Intelligence can transcribe, proofread, and summarize handwritten notes. In visionOS 27, the Vision Pro version of Freeform allows users to add multiple items from a board to their own workspace. Multiple users can view 3D models together as a group.

All updates are available starting today. Apple Creator Studio costs €12.99/$12.99 per month and offers access to all of Apple’s creative apps, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. It adds premium features not available in the free versions of apps like Numbers, Pages, and Keynote.
